The Indian Institute of Technology was established in the year 1959. The university is situated in the city of Chennai which is in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. Indian Institute of Technology received technical assistance from the German Government.

Admission Procedure 2024 - 2025

Candidates wishing to get admission in B.Tech programs must have at least 60% marks in intermediate education and they also have to clear The Joint Entrance Examination test. The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is taken if the candidate wishes to get admission in the postgraduate program. Minimum GMAT score = 650 Minimum GRE score = 320 Minimum SAT score = 2000 is required for foreign students to get admission.
