Established as King George Medical College in 1911, it was formally upgraded to the status of University through an act which was passed by the Government of Uttar Pradesh on 16th September 2002 and it is now known as Chhatrapati Shahuji Maharaj Medical University. The medical university aims to provide the best education regarding the medical fields. Moreover, the university also has a massive hospital attached to it which is known by the name of Gandhi Memorial & Associated Hospitals.

Admission Procedure 2024 - 2025

The candidates who will opt to apply for admission in the undergraduate programs are required to pass intermediate examination. 85% seats are given to the candidates of Uttar Pradesh and their test will be State Combined Pre Medical Test (CPMT) conducted under the supervision of Director Medical Education & Training. 15% seats are allotted to the candidates from all-over India and they need to give All India Medical Entrance Examination which is conducted under the supervision of All India Institute of Medical Sciences. The seat quota for Master programs is the same. For foreign students the criteria for admission is following SAT = 1600.
