Gujarat University was established in 1949. Its head quarter is located in Ahmadabad. University spreads over 260 acres of area. It has 260 affiliated colleges and 250 recognized institutions. University has 34 post graduate departments and 221 post graduate centers. It is considered as the biggest and oldest university of the State.
