Wayamba University of Sri Lanka

Constructed in Kuliyapitiya, the Wayamba University of Sri Lanka originated in the year 1999. The university has two campuses, one in Kuliyapitiya and the other one in Makandura. The university extend academic education in the English medium. Apart from that, the courses offered in the university are in the current and job oriented.

Programs and Courses

Faculty of Agriculture & Plantation Management includes Department of Agribusiness Management, Biotechnology, Horticulture & Landscape Gardening and Plantation Management. Faculty of Applied Sciences includes Department of Electronics, Computing and Information Systems,Industrial Management and Department Applied Nutrition. Faculty of Livestock, Fisheries & Nutrition (FLFN) has four Departments namely Department of Food Science & Technology, Applied Nutrition, Livestock & Avian Sciences and Aquaculture & Fisheries. There is also a Faculty of Business Studies & Finance.

Admission Procedure 2024 - 2025

For the admission in WUS an applicant must qualify the admission test. The test evaluate applicant's suitability for the targeted degree course.
Minimum Z score is necessary for the applicants of undergraduate courses in GCE A/level. Bachelor’s degree is necessary for the applicants of postgraduate courses. Students from aboard should prove the equivalency to Z score in GCE A/level.
