Punjabi University was established according to an Act of 1961 in the year of 1962. It is situated in Patiala and considered as one of the premier institutions of higher education. It is a multi-faculty university offers various teaching and research methods. It has 5 departments under the disciplines of Humanities, Sciences, Fine Arts and Space Physics.
