Nalanda Open University

Nalanda Open University was established in the year 1987. The university is suited in the city of Patna which is the capital of Indian state Bihar. Since, it is an open university, it vows to provide education to those persons who cannot get education due to some issues..etc. Moreover, the university also shows flexibility in the admission criteria to make sure that majority can avail education. There are many study centers across the region.

Programs and Courses

The university offers undergraduate, certificate, intermediate and postgraduate. Following are the schools in which programs are proffered.
School of Computer Education and Information Technology, Economics, Commerce and Management, Health and Environmental Science, Indian and Foreign Languages, Indology, Journalism and Mass Communication, Library and Information Science, Pure and Agricultural Sciences, Social Sciences and Teacher's Education.

Admission Procedure 2024 - 2025

Admission in management sciences and all other programs is held through common Entrance exam know as CET. Eligible students can appear in entrance test and will be called for interview after passing the Entrance test. The admission criteria are general with some flexibility. For the admission in the intermediate education, one must have matriculation certificate. Moreover, for the admissions in the Bachelor's Degree in Arts Subjects an individual should have passed intermediate with any subjects, Bachelor's Degree in Science Subjects requires Intermediate in Science. In order to get admission in the certificate programs, the candidate should have matriculation or intermediate as per the requirement of course. However, for the admission in the postgraduate one must have bachelor’s degree.
