Mizoram University

Mizoram University was established in the year 2001. The university’s main aim is to provide top notch education in order to train the manpower of the state of Mizoram. There are 28 colleges which are affiliated to the University.

Programs and Courses

Following are the schools along with their departments in which undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral courses are offered in the University.
School of Life Sciences includes Botany, Zoology and Biotechnology. School of Education & Humanities includes Mizo, English, Education and Hindi.
School of Physical Sciences includes Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and Computer Science.
School of Engineering & Technology includes Information Technology, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Computer Engineering and Electrical Engineering.
School of Social Sciences includes Psychology, Social Work, Political Science, History & Ethnography and Public Administration. School of Earth Sciences & Natural Resources Management includes Geology, Forestry (Agro Forestry), Geography, Horticulture, Aromatic and Medicinal Plants and Environmental Sciences.
School of Economics Management & Information Sciences includes Commerce, Economics, Management, Library and Information Science and Mass Communication.

Admission Procedure 2024 - 2025

For the admission in the postgraduate programs one must have bachelor’s degree in the relevant field. Moreover, for the admission in the undergraduate program such as diploma in engineering, an individual must have 60% marks in the intermediate education. University conducts common entrance test EAMCET in order to take admission for BE/ BArch/ BTech (Agri/ Engg/Dairy Tech), all engineering and medical programs.
