Kuvempu University

Kuvempu University is affiliated university that was established in 1987. It is a modern and an organized university that has 41 post graduate departments in faculties of Law, Education, Commerce, Science and Arts. Kuvempu University offers one undergraduate and four post graduate diploma programs. It also offers 17 B.Ed colleges, one B.P.Ed. College, three constituent colleges and 80 affiliated colleges.

SCHOOL OF LANGUAGES, LITERATURE & FINE ARTS has following departments: Department of Kannada, English, Hindi, Urdu and Sanskrit.
SCHOOL OF SOCIAL SCIENCES has following departments: Sociology, Political Science, History & Archaeology, Social Work, Journalism & Mass Communication, Adult Continuing Education and Field Outreach, Department for Interdisciplinary Study and Research in Cultural Studies.
SCHOOL OF ECONOMICS & BUSINESS STUDIES has following departments: Economics, Business Economics(MBE)-P.G.Centre, Kadur, Commerce,Business Administration [Jnana Sahyadri Campus] [P.G.Centre, Kadur], Tourism Administration, Master of Banking, Finance & Insurance.
SCHOOL OF PHYSICAL SCIENCES has following departments: Mathematics, Computer Sciences, Computer Applications (MCA), Industrial Mathematics and Computer Applications, Physics, Electronics and Department of Library & Information Science.
SCHOOL OF CHEMICAL SCIENCES has following departments: Department of Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry,Biochemistry , Organic Chemistry,Pharmaceutical Chemistry -P.G.Centre, Kadur. SCHOOL OF BIO SCIENCES has following departments: Department of Applied Zoology, Wild Life Management,Applied Botany, Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Microbiology and Department of Clinical Psychology.
SCHOOL OF EARTH SCIENCES & ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE has following departments: Applied Geology, Remote Sensing Application, Water Management & Water Harvesting and Environmental Science. SCHOOL OF LAW has Department of LL.M (Business Law).
SCHOOL OF EDUCATION has following departments: Education (M.Ed), Physical Education (M.P.Ed.,) and Physical Education (B.P.Ed.,).

Admission Procedure 2024 - 2025

University conduct SET Entrance test to get admission in all programs offered by university. Students need to have bachelor degree for post graduate programs and intermediate degree for under graduate programs.
