Birla Institute of Technology and Science

Founded by prominent industrialist G.D Birla in 1929, Birla Institute of technology and Science is one of the eminent universities of India. The mission of the university is to educate the masses and enlighten the world with the education of science and technology. “Knowledge is power supreme” is the motto of the Birla Institute of Technology and Science which helps the administration in providing quality education in India and all over the world. To make this happen, BITS has campuses in Pilani, Goa, Hyderabad and Dubai and it has crowned itself as the first Indian university to open a campus overseas. Another great achievement for this university is that the “technical assistance” in the making of this institution was provided by Massachusetts Institute of Technology (USA).

Programs and Courses

Birla institute of technology and Science offers undergraduate, post graduate and doctorate programs namely, Bachelors of Engineering (BE Hons) in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science, Bachelors of Pharmacy (B.Pharm Hons), Master of Science(MSc) and Master of Arts(MA), M.Phil, MBA and PhD.

Admission Procedure 2024 - 2025

Candidates are eligible to apply for admission if the candidate has aggregate 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects in the 12th examinations along with good English skills. After being eligible for the application, candidate is required to give BITSAT (Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test) which is one of a kind in India. The university welcomes applicants from all-over the country however, the acceptance rate is very low thus providing great competition. Criteria for foreign students would be Minimum GMAT score = 650 Minimum GRE score = 320 Minimum SAT score = 2000.
