It was established in 1982 by the Government of Tamil Nadu, Bharathiar. It is named after the poet, “Subramania Bharathi”, the university focus on educating the youth of India and to enhance the skills, knowledge and creativity. Covering a massive area of 1000 acres, the University has achieved a reputable standing and this why, there are 104 affiliated colleges with the University. While striving to facilitate the youth of India, the University is trying best to promote and protect the history, culture and secular vision of India. “A” grade accredited by NAAC.

Admission Procedure 2024 - 2025

There are two procedures of getting the admission in the University. One is by Entrance test and the other one is Direct Admission. The selection criteria and requirement through Entrance test is based on the performance of the candidate. One can get Direct Admission by submitting a form but it is based on first come, first served basis. Further information regarding admission of foreign and local students is provided on the website.
