Izmir Institute of Technology was established in 1992 and it is offering a high level of education and research technologically. It is also called “the technical master”. It is located in middle of Izmir, Turkey. For the understanding of all the students this university provides education in English. This university is included in one of the two technical universities of Turkey which deals in the fields of science and technology. Izmir Institute of Technology offers both graduate and undergraduate education to students.

Faculties

Izmir Institute of Technology has three Faculties. Faculty of Science offers Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Molecular Biology and Genetics. Faculty of Engineering includes Computer Engineering, Electrical-Electronic Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering and Food Engineering. Faculty of Architecture offers Industrial Design, Architectural Restoration, Architecture and City Planning.

School

Izmir Institute of technology has one graduate school named as Graduate School of Engineering and Sciences. In this school, it contributes in the advancement of science and technology. It has also a School of Foreign Languages.

Interdisciplinary Programs

Izmir Institute of Technology has some Interdisciplinary programs as well such as Biotechnology and Bioengineering, Environmental Engineering, Energy Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering and Engineering Management.

Admission Procedure 2024 - 2025

The students within the state need to give a compulsory Admission Test. For international students, there should be a higher scores of the tests SAT and GRE. The scores should be greater than 1600.
