The Hong Kong Institute of Education came into being in the
year 1994. The institute is subsidized under UGC (University Grant Commission)
of Hong Kong. The institute mainly focuses on the teacher education but it also
offers bachelors, masters and doctoral courses in other subjects as well. The
aim of the institute is to become leading institution in the Asian Pacific
region.
