Osmania University

Osmania University was established in the year 1918. It is situated in the city of Hyderabad, which is the capital city of Indian state named Andhra Pradesh. The university is named after Mir Osman Ali Khan who was the last Nazim of Hyderabad. The university is the first to have Urdu language as the medium. The motive of the university is to provide excellent quality education, development of human resources, promotion of cultural heritage and to spread the light of the knowledge in the society. The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), categorized the university under ‘A’ grade.

Admission Procedure 2024 - 2025

The candidate should have intermediate education in order to be eligible to apply for the admissions in the undergraduate programs. The admissions are awarded through entrance test and merit. For the admissions in the postgraduate course, one must have a bachelor’s degree. Osmania university conducts common entrance test known as (PGECET)for all post graduate programs. Students are required to qualify this test online.
