Mangalore University

Mangalore University was established in the year 1980. The University is situated in a village named Konaje which is in the city of Mangalore of Indian state Karnataka. The University has 190 colleges affiliated to it. There are two National Research Facilities in order to assist in research projects.

Programs and Courses

The University offers bachelors, masters and doctorate programs in the following departments. Faculty of Science has departments of Applied Botany, Applied Zoology, Bioscience, Microbiology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Electronics, Library Information Science, Marine Geology, Materials Science, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Human consciousness & Yogic Science, Geo Informatics, Biochemistry. Faculty of Commerce has departments of M.B.A, Commerce. Faculty of Arts has departments of Economics, English, Kannada, History, Mass Communication & Journalism, Political Science, Sociology, Physical Education, and Social Works. Faculty of Education has departments of Directorate of Physical Education.

Admission Procedure 2024 - 2025

The criteria for admissions in the M.B.B.S or BDS programs through Medical entrance exams.Eligibility criteria to appear in entrance exams is that students require 50% marks in physic, chemistry and Biology. Moreover, a test would be taken in order to award admission. The admission criteria for postgraduate programs require an individual to have at least bachelor’s degree.
