Bhavnagar University was established on 24th May 1979 in the city of Bhavnagar, Gujrat. The mission of the university is to contribute in the academic and social development and to build a knowledge workforce for the better future. Moreover, the university has around 83 colleges affiliated to itself. The university is widely renowned because of its research activities.

A candidate can apply for the admission after passing the secondary or higher secondary successfully. Since there are various departments, so the criteria for admission vary. Admission notices are available on the website. For foreign students the criteria for admission is following GMAT = 550 GRE = 280 SAT = 1600.
