It was established in the year 1970 in Summer Hill, Shimla which is in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh University. Himachal Pradesh University has more than 100 affiliated colleges. The university believes in spreading knowledge and education as stated in the motto ‘the one who have, arms of knowledge is real skillful’.
