Barkatullah Vishwawavidyalaya University

Barkatullah Vishwawavidyalaya University also known as Bhopal University was established in the city of Bhopal, Madhya Predesh, India in the year 1970. The Government funded university is named after a freedom fighter Prof.Maulvi Barkatullah who was born in the same city(Bhopal). The incumbent Vice-Chancellor, Prof.Nisha Dube administer the University with the vision of developing skills and providing education in diverse fields to ensure the empowerment of the students for a better future. Barkatullah university is affiliated with both Private and Government Colleges of Bhopal district and of other districts which includes, Bhopal, Sehore , Vidisha , Raisen , Hoshangabad, Harda , Betul, and Rajgrah. More importantly one engineering college, technical teacher training institute and a Ayurvedic , Unani, Physiotherapy, homeopathic colleges are also assorted with the University.

The university offers wide range of academic programs and courses which includes postgraduate courses, undergraduate courses, diploma courses, certificate programs, M.Phil programs.Etc. Mentioned below are the faculties and their respective departments. Faculty of Arts includes Department of Arabic, Department of Comparative Languages & Culture, and Department of Persian. Faculty of Commerce includes Department of Commerce. Faculty of Education includes Department of Continuing Education & Extension Program and Department of Yoga. Faculty of Physical Education includes Department of Physical Education. Faculty of Law includes Department of Law. Faculty of Life Sciences include Department of Applied Aqua Culture , Department of Bioscience , Department of Biotechnology , Department of Genetics, Department of Environmental Science & Limnology and Department of Microbiology. Faculty of Management includes CRIM -Management Institute. Admission Procedure 2024 - 2025

For the detail on admission procedure, you need to keep checking the website. Candidates can only apply after successfully passing the secondary or higher education. Since the university offers wide range of subjects so the eligibility criteria for every subject would be different. University conducts admission test for all students throughout the country whereas international students can take SAT (Undergraduate programs), GMAT (Management sciences - BBA and MBA), or GRE (Graduate and post graduate programs other than Management sciences). The score of GMAT should be higher than 550, score of GRE should be higher than280 and score of SAT should be high than1600. The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), India has placed the University in ‘B’ grade.
